Upcoming Features & Improvements

01

Improved Lens Mapping

Expected Release: Early May 2025

When you map a lens, the distance and focus data you provide is plotted as points on a graph.

The gaps between these points—where no data has been defined—are traditionally filled using simple linear interpolation, which enables automatic focusing at any distance.

This method works well when many points are mapped, but when only a few points are used, it can result in inaccurate interpolations.

To address this issue, we’re developing an improved solution.

With this update, even if the graph has very few points, the undefined areas between them will no longer be filled using basic linear interpolation. Instead, we will use a curve fitting algorithm.

This will significantly improve focus accuracy in the undefined regions between points, and ensure smoother and more precise focus transitions—even on low-resolution mappings with minimal distance markers.

edelkrone Academy - Youtube Channel

Expected Release: Early May 2025

Are you really getting the most out of your edelkrone? edelkrone Academy is coming: your go-to resource for mastering every aspect of your gear. From essential how-tos to expert tips and creative techniques, these videos go beyond the basics to help you unlock the full potential of your edelkrone setup.

03

Controller-Free Setup & Operation

Expected Release: Early May 2025

We’ve been working for a long time on a development that makes it possible to use our products for simple setups without needing a controller device. This idea emerged while finalizing the Tap to Move feature on SliderONE.

Instead of limiting this feature to just SliderONE, we are developing a controller-free setup and motion triggering approach that will work across the entire edelkrone ecosystem—and we can’t wait to share it with you.

You’ll be able to use this feature in both Keypose and Point Track modes, without needing a controller—or even a single button press. Together, we’re about to set a new record in simplicity for the motion control programming experience.

04

Flow Motions

Expected Release: May 2025

Flow will be a new development that allows you to program virtually any camera movement you want, with an unprecedented level of ease.

While benefiting from all the advantages of the Point Tracking feature—where the head device automatically handles all the tasks—you will also be able to program your body device step-by-step in any motion sequence you desire, almost like programming a stop-motion animation.

The body device will automatically fill in the transitions between the points you’ve programmed, creating a smooth body movement, while the head will remain locked onto the points you’ve set and continue filming during the entire process.

Especially with 4-axis or more advanced systems, Flow will open the door to an extraordinary new level of visuals.

In our initial release, we will bring this amazing feature to setups that include JibONE and JibPLUS.
