At edelkrone, continuous innovation is a core principle. Our latest firmware and app update, released on June 9, 2025, introduces powerful new features along with significant improvements that make your motion control system more stable, precise, and enjoyable to use. Here’s everything you need to know.
What’s new in this update
Stable Start for HeadPLUS
A major improvement in camera motion: HeadPLUS now waits until all vibrations fully settle before beginning a move. This significantly reduces unintended shake and helps maintain cinematic stability, even in sensitive setups.
Strengthened Bluetooth Communication
We’ve enhanced the Bluetooth connection protocols between devices. This minimizes unexpected disconnection or system resets that occasionally disrupted workflows. Expect more reliable performance, especially during demanding shoots.
Per-Keypose Speed Assignments
You can now assign unique speed settings to each keypose trigger without modifying the global speed value. This allows for more expressive, tailored movements across complex scenes.
Rebuilt Numeric Controller
The numeric interface for editing keyposes has been completely re-engineered. With the new design, adjusting axis values is more intuitive, faster, and pleasant to use—offering a smoother creative experience from setup to execution.
Highlights from recent updates
- Teach points without using the phone: You can now teach tracking points directly using a button on HeadPLUS—ideal for quick setups.
- Tripod X Bluetooth issue resolved: The connection reliability problem affecting some units has been fully addressed.
- Simultaneous pairing with both JibONE and DollyPLUS: Previously limited to one or the other, HeadPLUS can now pair with both at the same time, enabling full six-axis motion control for the most complex camera movements.
- In-app tutorial links: Tutorial videos are now directly linked in the app interface, helping you discover and use new features more easily.
- Numerous other refinements and bug fixes have been implemented across the platform.
Coming in the next few weeks
Flow feature
This upcoming capability will allow you to chain keyposes together and play them back in one continuous motion, without stop-and-go breaks in between. It’s a breakthrough for achieving fluid, narrative-friendly camera paths, and it will expand your storytelling options significantly.
Controller-free quick setup
Soon, you’ll be able to teach your system a motion pattern without using a controller or the app. Simply tap a button or the device three times to enter learning mode, perform the movement, and then tap twice to loop that motion continuously. It’s a faster, smarter way to capture motion, especially in fast-paced environments.
